(collectively, “Markaaz,” “we,” “us,” “our”).  This Privacy Policy covers our websites (including,, content, software products, mobile applications, mobile and web-based services, or any other Markaaz materials (each a “Service,” and collectively, the “Services”), owned and operated by Markaaz, and which distribute or link to this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand the types of information we collect, how we collect, and how we use the information you decide to share or provide through the Services.  This Privacy Policy applies to the Services, regardless of the medium by which the Services are accessed (e.g., app, mobile browser, computer browser, etc.). 






Collection of Information


Personal Information:  We collect personal information when you visit the Services and use any of the services provided via the Services.  For example, when you register for an account, make a purchase, request information or services, interact with us, contact us, or make other inquiries on the Services, we collect personal information. 

“Personal information” refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual who is the subject of the information.  For example, when you register with the Services, contact us via the Services, or sign up for our mailing list, you provide us with certain personal information, which may include your name, your email address, your telephone number, your address, your gender, your date of birth, and any other personal or preference information that you provide to us.

Payment Information:  When customers pay for products or services on the Services using payment cards, the Services collect the payment card information – including, but not limited to credit card number, expiration date, and billing address – and transmit that information to a payment processor.  The payment processor is a third-party company, external to us.  The web pages where the information is collected, as well as all transmissions to the third-party processor, are encrypted with an SSL certificate.  We do not store complete payment information on our Services, but may store reference information such as the last four digits of a credit card number and/or the expiration date.  

When you use the Services, to deposit or withdraw funds, we may collect all information necessary to complete the transaction and provide you with the Services, including your name, address, email address, phone number, credit or debit card information and other billing information, social security number, tax documents, and records of the products and Services you purchased, obtained, or considered.

Other Information:  When you use the Services, or when you contact us, we may also collect other information about you as disclosed below.  This information may be gathered for all Services users. 

  • We may collect certain information from your activity using “cookies” or other tracking technologies like tags, pixels, clear pixels, gifs, bugs, beacons, and other similar technologies, some of which may enable Markaaz or our service providers to identify you and collect information about you across devices and Services.
  • We may use “cookies,” which are small text files that are stored on a user’s computer hard drive. They are used to keep track of and store information about the user.  The information that is collected through cookies via the Services is handled in the same manner as other information collected here.  If you prefer not to receive cookies from the Services, you can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies and refuse the cookie when your browser alerts you to its presence.  You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser.  Please be aware, however, that certain features of the Services may be unavailable if your browser is not set to support or enable cookies.
  • We may use online tracking technologies or other third party sources such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms, public forums, or from third party providers, to collect information about you.
  • We collect information about your activity on the Services, such as, history, content you’ve viewed, search queries you performed.
  • We may collect information about your preferences, interests, habits, and other lifestyle information, including product wish lists, order history, and marketing preferences.
  • We may collect information about your interactions with our customer service, such as the date, time and reason for contacting us, feedback you share with us, transcripts of any chat conversations, and if you call us, your phone number and call recordings.
  • We may collect information about the device you are using to access the Services, including your device make and model, the internet service provider, mobile or other device identifier (e.g., UDID and MEID), user agents, or IP address, mobile device carrier, device’s location capabilities (e.g., GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth signal, beacons, LED light chips or other similar technologies), language, Internet browser type and version.
  • We may collect your location, which may include a precise or approximate geo-location.
  • We may collect information about referring and exiting websites/URLs (including click through URL and pixel tags).

Where required by applicable law, we treat certain types of other information as personal information and comply with all applicable data privacy and protection laws.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any personal information may be combined with any other information that you provide to us through the Services, that is publicly available, or that we may otherwise obtain, including from third parties.

Children Under 13

Our Services are restricted to persons who are age 21 or older.  Furthermore, we do not market to, and do not knowingly collect any personal information from or about a child under the age of 13 without the consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian.  If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 years of age, we will promptly take all reasonable measures to delete that personal information from our systems.

Use of Information Collected

We use the information collected to:

  • Send you emails about any transactions you perform on the Services, including any activities, registration, purchases, cancellations, and the like;
  • Send you notices and information, for example, information regarding the Services and changes to the Services, this Privacy Policy, or any of our terms and conditions;
  • Send you marketing communications and updates about Markaaz for which you have opted in, including information about new products, events, Services, and/or promotions;
  • Deliver customized or targeted marketing content and advertisements to you based on the information we have obtained;
  • Respond to requests from you or provide services to you, administer your account, or provide notifications to you;
  • Enhance and improve the Services, and any of our products, services, content, advertising, and promotions; and,
  • Share your Information within Markaaz in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

You consent to receive communications from us electronically, such as by email.

We will not share, sell, or distribute your information with any third parties including any of our affiliated companies, officers, directors, shareholders, subsidiaries, agents, or representatives except as provided in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We may employ third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf.  They may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.  We use a third-party payment service to process purchases made through the Services.  In these cases, your Information may be collected by this third party and not by us, and will be subject to the third party’s privacy policy, rather than this Privacy Policy. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, this third party’s use or disclosure of your Information.

Legal Obligations: From time to time, we may be required to share personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law.  We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful or related to an alleged unlawful activity.

Protection of Markaaz and Others: We may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to (i) comply with the law or any rule, regulation, government or court order; (ii) enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or (iii) protect the rights, property, or safety of Markaaz, our affiliated companies, our users, or others.  However, this does not include selling, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Sale or Acquisition: If we become involved in a transaction involving the sale of our assets, such as a merger or acquisition, or if Markaaz is transferred to another company, we may disclose and/or transfer your information as part of the transaction.  If the surviving entity is not Markaaz, your information may be used pursuant to the surviving entity’s privacy policies, which may be different from this Privacy Policy.

Location Based Services

Markaaz may collect the information about the physical location of your device by, for example, using satellite, GPS, cell phone towers, beacons, or Wi-Fi signals. This information may be used to provide you with personalized services and content, including advertising, and may also be shared with our marketing partners. 

In some instances, you may be permitted to allow or deny such uses and/or sharing of your device’s location. For example, when you download a Service (including mobile application) on your device, you may have the opportunity to state that you would like to share your location.

For information about opting out of location based services, please refer to settings in your device settings.

Please be aware, however, that certain features of the Services may be unavailable if your device is not set to support or enable location based services.



We take precautions that are reasonable under the circumstances to protect the information that is either available from or collected by the Services.  We have taken steps designed to safeguard the Services’ integrity, their telecommunications, and their computing infrastructure, including but not limited to, authentication, monitoring, auditing, and encryption.  Unfortunately, no data transmitted over, or accessible through, the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.  As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant that personal information will be completely secure from misappropriation by hackers, nefarious or criminal activities, or in the event of a failure of computer hardware, software, or a telecommunications network.


Your Rights and Choices

Opt-out of Communications:

 If you no longer want to receive certain communications from us via email or text message, simply click the “unsubscribe” link in the email or reply STOP (or as otherwise instructed) to the text message. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from service-related correspondence from us, such as messages relating to your account transactions.

Mobile App Notifications:

You can choose to receive mobile push notifications from Markaaz via Markaaz’s mobile application. If you subsequently decide you no longer wish to receive these notifications, you can use mobile app settings or your mobile device’s settings functionality to turn them off. 


Correction of Information:

You can request access to your personal information or correct or update out-of-date or inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

You can most easily do this by visiting the “Account” portion of our Services, where you have the ability to access and update a broad range of information about your account, including your contact information, your payment information, and various related information about your registered account. You must be signed in to access the “Account” section.

Deletion of Information:

You may also request that we delete personal information that we hold about you. To make such requests, or if you have any other questions regarding our privacy practices, please contact our Data Protection Officer/Privacy Office using the information below.  We respond to all requests that we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

We may reject requests that are unreasonable or not required by law, including those that would be extremely impractical, could require disproportionate technical effort, or could expose us to operational risks such as free trial fraud. We may retain information as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including to honor your choices, for our billing or records purposes, and to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We take measures that are reasonable under the circumstances to destroy or de-identify personal information in a secure manner when it is no longer required.

Do Not Track Requests:

We may automatically collect cookies and other information when you use the Services. Due to this automatic collection, we do not currently honor browser based “do not track” requests. We currently participate in third-party ad networks and use third-party cookies as discussed above to track your visits across the Services.


The Services may contain links to or information about other websites that are outside our control or custody.  We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites and suggest that you review their privacy statements to understand how your information is used or shared by those other websites.  We do not endorse or make any representations or warranties concerning, and will not in any way be liable for, any informational content, products, services, software, or other materials available on other websites, even if one or more pages of the other websites are framed within, or linked to, a page of our Services.



This Privacy Policy was last modified on the date first printed above.  We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time, at any time, without notice, and you should check this page periodically for changes.

Your use of the Services, and continued use of the Services following any changes to the Privacy Policy, signifies that you agree with the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy. California Residents

 California residents (a “CA Consumer”) have certain rights over their personal information, under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”).  This section supplements the preceding sections by describing CA Consumers’ additional rights with respect to their personal information and explaining how to exercise such rights.

We may disclose the foregoing categories of personal information for our business and commercial purposes to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Right to Know About Personal Information Collected, Used, Shared, or Sold.

CA Consumers have the right to request that we disclose the following information for the period covering the 12 months preceding their request:

    • the categories of personal information we collected about you;
    • the categories of sources from which we collected personal information about you;
    • the categories of personal information that we have disclosed about you for our business purposes and the categories of suppliers to whom the personal information was disclosed;
    • the categories of personal information that we sold to third parties and the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, if any;
    • the business or commercial purpose(s) for which personal information about you was collected, shared or sold; and
    • the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.

Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information.

CA Consumers have the right to request that Markaaz delete the personal information we maintain about them, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Personal Information.

CA Consumers have the right to opt-out of a business’s sale of their personal information.  “Sell,” “selling,” “sale,” or “sold,” means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.

We do NOT “sell” your personal information, as defined under the CCPA.

Right to Non-Discrimination for Exercising Privacy Rights.

Markaaz will not discriminate against CA Consumers for exercising their rights under the CCPA.

You may submit a request by emailing us at or by sending us a privacy request through .Please note that Markaaz may deny or fulfill a request only in part, based on our legal rights and obligations.

If you are job applicant, employee or other of our personnel, these rights do not apply to you.  You may still contact us to understand how we process your personal information. 

When we receive a request, we will verify the identity of the requestor and undertake to respond within the periods set by the CCPA.

CA Consumers with a password-protected account with Markaaz, will need to verify their identity through Markaaz’s existing authentication practices.  Markaaz will require the CA Consumer to authenticate themselves before we disclose or delete the CA Consumer’s information.

If the CA Consumer does not have a password-protected account, we will take reasonable steps to verify their identity in accordance with the CCPA prior to responding any request. The verification steps may vary depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and the right(s) being exercised.  We may use an appropriate third-party verification service if needed.

Designating an Authorized Agent to Submit Privacy Requests.

CA Consumers may use an authorized agent to submit a Request to Know or a Request to Delete. An authorized agent must be registered with the California Secretary of State, and must be given written permission by the CA Consumer to act on his or her behalf. 

If you choose to submit a privacy request to Markaaz through an authorized agent, we may require proof of written permission and also that the agent verify their own identity with Markaaz. If your request is submitted by an agent without proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf, we will deny the request.

“Shine the Light” Law

California’s “Shine the Light” law permits users of the Services that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  As mentioned above, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. EEA Residents

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies to users of the Services in the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  For the purposes of compliance with the GDPR, we are the “controller” of Personal Data (i.e., Personal Information) we receive from you, and you are considered a Data Subject – an identified or identifiable natural person in the EEA as set forth in the GDPR.

Under certain circumstances, Data Subjects from the EEA may have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right to access the Personal Information we maintain about you;
  • Right to be provided with information about how we process your Personal Information;
  • Right to correct your Personal Information;
  • Right to have your Personal Information erased;
  • Right to object to or restrict how we process your Personal Information; and
  • Right to request your Personal Information to be transferred to a third-party.

How to Withdraw Consent:

At any time, Data Subjects from the EEA may withdraw consent you have provided to us for using, disclosing, or otherwise processing your personal information.  You may withdraw your consent by communicating your request at the information provided below.

Please note that your withdrawal of consent to process certain personal information about you (1) may limit our ability to deliver services to you and (2) does not affect the lawfulness of our processing activities based on your consent before its withdrawal.  Note that even after withdrawing consent, we may use, disclose, or otherwise process your Personal Information if required by law to do so.

How to File a Complaint:

Canadian Residents

You have choices about how we use your personal information to communicate with you, to send you marketing information, and whether you want to update or remove your personal information.

You can see, review, and change most of your personal information by signing in to your account. Please update your personal information immediately if it changes or is inaccurate.

We will honor any statutory right you have to access, modify, or erase your personal information. Please contact us by following the instructions in the Contacting Markaaz section above.  We will attempt to address your request within thirty (30) days. 

Where you have a statutory right to request access or to request the modification or erasure of your personal information, we can still withhold that access or decline to modify or erase your personal information in some cases in accordance with applicable laws.

If you request that we stop processing some or all of your personal information or you withdraw (where applicable) your consent for our use or disclosure of your personal information for purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we may not be able to provide you all of the services and customer support offered to our users and authorized under this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, available at [URL] (which Terms of Use shall still continue to apply).

Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable laws.
