WE DO NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT INFORMATION FROM THOSE UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE AND REQUEST THAT SUCH INDIVIDUALS NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION (DEFINED BELOW) TO US OR ACCESS OUR SERVICES.
Collection of Information
Personal Information: We collect personal information when you visit the Services and use any of the services provided via the Services. For example, when you register for an account, make a purchase, request information or services, interact with us, contact us, or make other inquiries on the Services, we collect personal information.

The web pages where the information is collected, as well as all transmissions to the third-party processor, are encrypted with an SSL certificate. We do not store complete payment information on our Services, but may store reference information such as the last four digits of a credit card number and/or the expiration date.
When you use the Services, to deposit or withdraw funds, we may collect all information necessary to complete the transaction and provide you with the Services, including your name, address, email address, phone number, credit or debit card information and other billing information, social security number, tax documents, and records of the products and Services you purchased, obtained, or considered.

Location Based Services
Markaaz may collect the information about the physical location of your device by, for example, using satellite, GPS, cell phone towers, beacons, or Wi-Fi signals. This information may be used to provide you with personalized services and content, including advertising, and may also be shared with our marketing partners.
In some instances, you may be permitted to allow or deny such uses and/or sharing of your device’s location. For example, when you download a Service (including mobile application) on your device, you may have the opportunity to state that you would like to share your location.
For information about opting out of location based services, please refer to settings in your device settings.
Please be aware, however, that certain features of the Services may be unavailable if your device is not set to support or enable location based services.
We take precautions that are reasonable under the circumstances to protect the information that is either available from or collected by the Services. We have taken steps designed to safeguard the Services’ integrity, their telecommunications, and their computing infrastructure, including but not limited to, authentication, monitoring, auditing, and encryption. Unfortunately, no data transmitted over, or accessible through, the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant that personal information will be completely secure from misappropriation by hackers, nefarious or criminal activities, or in the event of a failure of computer hardware, software, or a telecommunications network.
Your Rights and Choices
Opt-out of Communications:
If you no longer want to receive certain communications from us via email or text message, simply click the “unsubscribe” link in the email or reply STOP (or as otherwise instructed) to the text message. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from service-related correspondence from us, such as messages relating to your account transactions.
Mobile App Notifications:
You can choose to receive mobile push notifications from Markaaz via Markaaz’s mobile application. If you subsequently decide you no longer wish to receive these notifications, you can use mobile app settings or your mobile device’s settings functionality to turn them off.
Correction of Information:
You can request access to your personal information or correct or update out-of-date or inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
You can most easily do this by visiting the “Account” portion of our Services, where you have the ability to access and update a broad range of information about your account, including your contact information, your payment information, and various related information about your registered account. You must be signed in to access the “Account” section.
Deletion of Information:
You may also request that we delete personal information that we hold about you. To make such requests, or if you have any other questions regarding our privacy practices, please contact our Data Protection Officer/Privacy Office using the information below. We respond to all requests that we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Do Not Track Requests:
We may automatically collect cookies and other information when you use the Services. Due to this automatic collection, we do not currently honor browser based “do not track” requests. We currently participate in third-party ad networks and use third-party cookies as discussed above to track your visits across the Services.
The Services may contain links to or information about other websites that are outside our control or custody. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites and suggest that you review their privacy statements to understand how your information is used or shared by those other websites. We do not endorse or make any representations or warranties concerning, and will not in any way be liable for, any informational content, products, services, software, or other materials available on other websites, even if one or more pages of the other websites are framed within, or linked to, a page of our Services.
California residents (a “CA Consumer”) have certain rights over their personal information, under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”). Right to Know About Personal Information Collected, Used, Shared, or Sold.
CA Consumers have the right to request that we disclose the following information for the period covering the 12 months preceding their request:
Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information.
CA Consumers have the right to request that Markaaz delete the personal information we maintain about them, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Personal Information.
CA Consumers have the right to opt-out of a business’s sale of their personal information. “Sell,” “selling,” “sale,” or “sold,” means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
We do NOT “sell” your personal information, as defined under the CCPA.
Right to Non-Discrimination for Exercising Privacy Rights.
Markaaz will not discriminate against CA Consumers for exercising their rights under the CCPA.
Exercising your Rights as a CA Consumer.
You may submit a request by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending us a privacy request through email@example.com .Please note that Markaaz may deny or fulfill a request only in part, based on our legal rights and obligations.
If you are job applicant, employee or other of our personnel, these rights do not apply to you. You may still contact us to understand how we process your personal information.
When we receive a request, we will verify the identity of the requestor and undertake to respond within the periods set by the CCPA.
CA Consumers with a password-protected account with Markaaz, will need to verify their identity through Markaaz’s existing authentication practices. Markaaz will require the CA Consumer to authenticate themselves before we disclose or delete the CA Consumer’s information.
If the CA Consumer does not have a password-protected account, we will take reasonable steps to verify their identity in accordance with the CCPA prior to responding any request. The verification steps may vary depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and the right(s) being exercised. We may use an appropriate third-party verification service if needed.
Designating an Authorized Agent to Submit Privacy Requests.
CA Consumers may use an authorized agent to submit a Request to Know or a Request to Delete. An authorized agent must be registered with the California Secretary of State, and must be given written permission by the CA Consumer to act on his or her behalf.
If you choose to submit a privacy request to Markaaz through an authorized agent, we may require proof of written permission and also that the agent verify their own identity with Markaaz. If your request is submitted by an agent without proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf, we will deny the request.
“Shine the Light” Law
California’s “Shine the Light” law permits users of the Services that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. As mentioned above, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies to users of the Services in the European Economic Area (“EEA”). For the purposes of compliance with the GDPR, we are the “controller” of Personal Data (i.e., Personal Information) we receive from you, and you are considered a Data Subject – an identified or identifiable natural person in the EEA as set forth in the GDPR.

Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable laws.
